Dear Debby and Family: I have just heard the news of Bob's passing and am so sad to hear of your loss. I worked with Bob when he was Principal at Winfield's Jr. H.S. I was doing my degree at the time and Bob had such an encouraging spirit towards my endeavors. He was such a cheerleader for kids and his integrity and kindness made him stand above as a Principal. We had wonderful trips to western Canada and other places that brought such enriching to the lives of the ESL children who I had the privilege of teaching. Over these years of retirement you have both come to mind on occasion and I fully realize the impact he had on my life and the lives of children who crossed his path. He was so proud of his own children and their accomplishments and so deeply cherished you Debby. My thoughts and prayers are with you today as I process this new . Bob was indeed one of the "Good guys". Warmly, Kathy Ribble

I was on staff with Bob at Fisherville in the mid 60s. We had great times together kidding each other about the differences in our loyalties. He attended Etobicoke C.I. while I graduated from Runnymede C.I. Those rivalries ran deep but the banter was always good natured. He was a dyed in the wool Leaf fan while I supported the Canadiens. That was always grist for animated discussions about the merits of the two teams. Our paths never crossed again but I do value the time spent getting to know Bob when we were much younger and colleagues on the same staff. My condolences to you Debby and your children.

Bob was significant in the lives of many. As a young teacher, I got to know and respect him at Zion Heights JHS and then later, had the privilege of being his vice principal at Pleasant View JHS. He cared deeply for the students and staff he worked with. Then in retirement, at his beloved cottage, he used his leadership skills in the local community.
Bob leaves a wonderful legacy as an educator, volunteer and friend.
