William James Muir
September 20, 1938 – March 5, 2023
With a pen in his shirt pocket and his family by his side, Bill Muir passed away peacefully at Hill House Hospice after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. The care and kindness of the staff made a difficult time much more bearable.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret; his daughter Sandra and husband Joe Rousseau, and two wonderful grandchildren Jordyn and Sam; his brother Peter and wife Liz; his sister-in-law Pat and their families. Pre-deceased by his parents Peter (1954) and Agnes (1985) and brother Johnny (2002).
Bill grew up in Glenboig, Scotland and moved to Canada with Margaret in 1963 to start their adventure and wonderful life together. A funeral service will take place at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street Richmond Hill on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:30 am. Visitation one hour prior.
