Tanner, Wallace Bruce - Surrounded by family on May 4, 2023 at The Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Mary Geraldine (nee O’Carroll). Loving father of Brett Henry (Sharon Wang) and Brenda Tanner-Ferreira (Manuel Ferreira) and the late baby Bart. Adoring grandpa of Christopher (Krista McKay), Tanner, Brendan, Tanya Lea (Jason), Shannon (Matt), Julia (Alec) & Brandon (Janet), Great Grandfather of Oliver, Finley, Everlyrose, and Maiev. Will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wally was a Stationary Engineer, and an alumni of Humber Side Collegiate Institute in Toronto. He played golf in the alumni golf tournament every year. Wally was a fireman on the Canadian Pacific Railway, Worked for Daily Freight Forwarders as V.P. of Operations, and worked in the Transportation industry for most of his lifetime. Wally was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to spend his off time at Nine Mile Lake.
A funeral service will be held at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment King City Cemetery.
