Obituary for Vera Howard
Vera Burness Howard.
Passed away January 15, 2021 in Aurora, Ontario. Born March 3, 1934 in London, England. Vera is predeceased by her brother Roy and his wife Hazel. Vera is survived by her nephew Keith, her niece Jane and husband Steve, and their children Becky and Dan. She also leaves behind cousin, Jill and Irwin. Vera had a family of friends in Canada and will be missed by dear friend Dottie as well as Jennifer and their families.
Vera attended Bradford Royal Infirmary and graduated as a Registered Nurse on April 10, 1959. After graduation Vera trained to become a midwife and worked briefly in England before immigrating to Canada. Vera was certified by the Registered Nursing Association of Ontario in 1961. Vera was dedicated to her profession and worked in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba while continually investing in her education in the field.
Vera retired from a lifelong career in nursing in 1994. We will remember Vera for her great wit, her elegance, and her life of service to those in need. We also remember with fondness that Vera never lost her sense of humour. Rest in peace, until we meet again.
