SEEBECK, Teresa Joanne (Joan).
With heartfelt sorrow, the family announces Joan’s passing on December 24th, 2020, after a valiant battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Gordon. Predeceased by daughter Gail Dawson (Steve). Lovingly remembered by daughter Sarah Makarians (Sako). Proud Gram to Claire, Anayis, Sakoni and Naomi. Survived by sister Bette McDermott, brothers Lary McDermott (Stephanie) and Pat McDermott (Cathi). Sister-in-law to Marian Sachko and Joan Richardsen (Dean). She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Eleanor McDermott, brother David McDermott, brother-in-law Robert Sachko, and sisters-in-law Barbara Pickett, Isobel Hibbard and Doreen Seebeck. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021 at 10:00am. Due to covid, the Funeral Mass will be live streamed on YouTube. Interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery in Oshawa.
