I have two very fond memories of Uncle Ron. The first was more a tradition than an event and involved camping with Uncle Ron, Auntie Criss, David, William, Mom, Dad, Larry and Tim on Thanksgiving weekends in Algonquin Park. Each family had a tent trailer and we went rain or shine, hot or cold, and there was plenty of weekends of each type, some with more than one. I am reminded of sitting around campfires every time I add "moitiƩ-moitiƩ" to my coffee. The other fond memory was an event. Uncle Ron and Auntie Criss took Pearl and me to dinner at a fine Italian restaurant in Toronto on the occasion of me earning my designation as a Chartered Accountant. Having watched Uncle Ron work so hard on his CGA designation, albeit at a distance and while I was young, I know that he had some appreciation for the hard work involve in earning my CA. Their recognition of my achievement was very meaningful and memorable. I am grateful for having had Uncle Ron in my life.
