Obituary for Jim Henry McHugh

The Sports World has lost a passionate enthusiast. On Sunday, November 12th, James "Jim" McHugh passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill. He bled blue for his Toronto sports teams (Leafs, Jays, and Argos) ardently enough to shout at the TV screen at least once every Saturday night of the season that his Leafs were on the ice (often openly judging the referee). He had just celebrated 49 years of marriage with wife Sharon, whom he is survived by, along with brother Patrick, son John and daughter Jean (John) Seitz, and his only grand-daughter Irene.

In light of his passion, we encourage those who come to pay their respects to wear sports jerseys.

Friends and family may call at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, on Friday November 17th at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to either Fighting Blindness Canada and/or Hydrocephalus Canada.
