Jan (John) Willem Jansen passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2023 at the age of 72 after a short battle with cancer. He was a beloved and devoted husband for 49 years to Nellie (nee Groenewegen). Caring father of Sheryl (Douglas), Kenneth (Junko), Janice and Patricia (Steven). Proud Grandpa to Lauren, Brandon, Christian, Jesse, John, Elliot, Oliver and Sebastian. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Henry (Lynda), Willie and Jackie (Mike). John was predeceased by his parents Willem and Dersken and brother Barry. He will forever be remembered and sadly missed by all of his family and friends. Visitation will take place at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, on Friday March 24th from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment Maple cemetery. Following the commital service at the cemetery, a reception will take place at 30 Great Gulf Dr, Unit 27, Concord ON L4K 0K7. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
