Doug was a great mentor to many of us new Co-op teachers in YRDSB. I always appreciated the kindness and patience he showed as we struggled and learned our new program. We are forever grateful for having you in our lives. My deepest condolences to Doug's family and friends.

Rest in Peace dear friend. We were all blessed with your love of life, your love of animals, your photography & musical talents and of course your stories of travel and adventure. You were a true friend, a mentor, and a dedicated teacher who inspired many of us. This world was truly a better place because of you.
Our memories of you will live on ........until we meet again.

Many times Doug and I shared our rewarding (and humorous!) experiences as coop ed teachers in York Region.
His passion for both travel and photography matched mine, so we enjoyed comparing notes on our latest destinations
and sharing images captured along the way. Doug's caring nature and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew him.

My condolences on Mr Wrights passing. Although he never taught me during my tenure at Bayview Secondary School I remember him well.

My condolences to his family. Very sad to hear about Doug, as I worked with him many years ago. He was a wonderful human being who told great stories. He was always willing to support and step in to help. He was a very kind man with many talents. Becky
