Obituary for Doug Maze
Peacefully at Hill House Hospice on Thursday January 5, 2023, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 43 years to Norma (nee MacFeely). Loving and proud father of Amanda and Katie (Bryan). Adoring Papa to Leah, Bradley, and Chase.
Predeceased by brother Rick and sister-in-law Joy, Doug will be greatly missed by his sister Joan (d. Peter Shenher) and brother Ralph, brothers and sisters-in-laws Arlene and John Vale and David and Rita MacFeely, niece and friend Lesley, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
In addition to being a wonderful husband, dad, and Papa, Doug was a loyal, warm, and fun-loving friend to many (Wildfield gang, ski & bridge clubs, poker guys, golf buddies, and more). Since retiring, Doug enjoyed many, many weeks cruising the high seas and seeing the world with his best mate Norma and their friends.
Friends may call at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME on Friday, January 13th from 1-2 p.m. Memorial service in the chapel at 2 p.m. with light refreshments to follow. If desired, donations may be made to Hill House Hospice, 36 Wright Street, Richmond Hill, ON, L4C 4A1.
