Dorothy was born December 6, 1920 in Markham Township to parents Winfred Timbers and Mabel (Sider). Growing up years were spent in the Stouffville area where she assisted her parents in farming and market gardening. She married Lloyd on June 21, 1944 and moved to the Doner family farm in Gormley where she would spend the next 38 years of her life, raising children, becoming an integral part of the dairy operation, of the community and of the Unionville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, reading and swimming in the pond.

In 1982, Lloyd and Dorothy retired to the community of Gowanstown where they made many new friends. Ill health necessitated another move in 2004 when they returned to the Stouffville area and became part of the “Parkview Community.” The land that Parkview is built on was once owned by Dorothy’s father, so in essence, she really was returning to her roots! Dorothy moved into Parkview Home in 2011. Her final move was made into the presence of her Saviour where she is now being welcomed – “Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

Due to COVID a private visitation and funeral service will be held at Marshall Funeral Home in Richmond Hill on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. To watch the service online, leave messages and condolences for the family please visit www.marshallfuneralhome.com
