Daughter of the Late Walter Remington Bateson and Adelaide Bateson, and Mother of Penelope May Roberts (nee Lee) and Geoffrey Robert Lee. Carmen was the last of her generation and will also be missed by her Son-in-Law Paul E. Roberts, her Granddaughter, Olivia Anne Maghroum (Zied), her four Great Grandsons, Jordan O. Abbe, Leo O. Abbe, Adam Z. Maghroum and Amir P. Maghroum, and all Nieces and Nephews. She was born in Nova Scotia and passed peacefully at Gibson Long Term Care, North York, Ontario. She lived in Sheffield, England, Ottawa, Richmond Hill, Thornhill and North York. She was a Debenture holder for the Richmond Hill Curling Club and was one of 4 generations who curled there. She was a loving mom who loved her church groups, gardening, camping, card games and all her family. Her parents and four older siblings were survivors who lost everything in the Halifax explosion.
