Obituary for Bruce Edward Stewart

Bruce Edward Stewart
June 18, 1935 – January 15, 2021

Passed away peacefully at his home from complications due to his prolonged battle with dementia.

Lovingly remembered by his spouse, Gayle Ferguson, daughter Mardi Teeple (Larry), and grandsons, Matthew Teeple (Beverly) and Andrew Teeple (Katherine). Pre-deceased by his wife Dorothey in 1986. Devoted brother to Joan and Maggie. Pre-deceased by his brothers Charlie and Alan.

Bruce was a long-time resident of Thornhill, Ontario, where he was the owner of York Printing House for over 30 years. Proud member of the Masonic Lodge of Fellowship for over forty years. He acted as caretaker of the Thornhill Cemetery for many years. He loved golfing and curling and was a member of the Thornhill Golf and Country Club. Another passion was his love for antique cars and his enjoyment of spending time with his car buddies.

The family would like to offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Colleen Cheung and the wonderful team of LHIN home care specialists along with the palliative home care team. Sadly, due to recent restrictions, funeral arrangements will be limited to immediate family only. Online condolences will be received through Marshal Funeral Home in Richmond Hill at www.marshallfuneralhome.com
