WESSON, Alexandra (Sandy) Mariea (nee Carvell). December 21, 1949 – December 11, 2020. Loving wife of Larry, mother of Nick (Andrea) and Tim (Alex) and Nanna to Poppy, Oliver and Willow. Sandy passed peacefully surrounded by family after battling kidney cancer. Special thanks to the caring staff of the Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit who did everything possible to give Sandy peace and comfort in her final days. Retired after 25 years with Markham Public Library, Sandy enjoyed companionship and learning with her dear friends the Coffee Ladies, TWITS and Thornhill Newcomers. Sandy particularly loved her daughters-in-law Andrea and Alex and was happy to have them as part of her family. A passionate cook and reader, Sandy enjoyed collecting cookbooks and vintage magazines. Summers at Lake Simcoe will not be the same without her.
