Surrounded by her family, Margaret McNair peacefully passed away at Brookside Retirement Home on October 17, 2022.
Margaret was born in Picton, Ontario, to Herbert & Mary Creasy, June 16th, 1930, the eldest of 6 and the only daughter.
Margaret was predeceased by her husbands, Norman Daniel Burnett (1961), and Clark Bowman McNair (2000).
Margaret is survived by her 5 children, Shirley (Ed Wells), Janice (Don Kitchen), James Burnett, John Burnett and Robert McNair (Lorna).
She is survived by and will be terribly missed by her 9 grandchildren, Sherri (Jason), Stephen (Hollie), David (Allison), Jessica (Chris), Donna (Kyle), Megan (Garrett), David (Lauren), Laura and Ella.
She was blessed with ten great-grandchildren, Jackson, Maddox, Kaiden, Colton, Victoria, Olivia, Jacob, Charlotte, Mikaela and Hunter.
Margaret is survived by brothers William (Mary), Robert (Marion 2018) and sister-in-law Valerie. She was predeceased by brothers Albert (Eunice), Don (Wilma) and Harold.
She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews from the Creasy, Burnett & McNair Families. Mom will always be remembered for her strong will, the love and support she gave and for the values she instilled in us.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill, Ont. on Nov. 7, 2022. Visitation at 12:00, service at 1:00, interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Brookside Retirement Home for their care and compassion over the last 3 years and especially during the difficult times of Covid.
We would also like to thank Dr. Geoffroy, Ryan and the palliative team who cared for Mom these last few weeks. We greatly appreciated your compassion for Mom as well as for the family.
